TO EAT – Restaurants and food supply
COMPORTA AND TORRE
Restaurant Dona Bia
At Torre, main road between Comporta and Carvalhal. Open all year for lunch and dinner.
In our opinion the best restaurant in the region. Best fish ever and delicious traditional kitchen. Don´t dare to miss the “canja de ameijoas” or the one of the “açordas”. For desert try “Sericaia”. Book in advance and at dinner be there before 8am (351 265497557)
Restaurant Museu do Arroz
Open all year for dinner. It´s a Comporta landmark for ages. For a more glamorous dinner. Arrive early and have a drink at the bar together with a “rice bolinho”. Famous for its rice dishes, we particularly enjoy “Arroz de Lingueirão”
Restaurant Comporta Café
Open all year for lunch and dinner.
Beach club at Comporta beach. During high season you can enjoy sunset parties everyday. (351 265497652)
Restaurant Gomes Casa de vinhos & petiscos

Restaurant A Cavalariça

At Comporta main street an original venue located in an ancient stable, where you actually eat in the former boxes. Portuguese cuisine with a touch of sophistication. (351 930451879)

A gourmet experience not to miss at Comporta
A landmark at Comporta for breakfast and a “cafézinho”. Don´t miss the “Delicia de Leite”.
Loja dú Peixe
Best and freshest fish on earth (really) in Comporta and also in Carvalhal.
CARVALHAL, MUDA AND PEGO
At Pego Beach lies the trendiest spot of Comporta. Open from April until October. From June till September is open everyday. In other months is opened from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. We particularly recommend Sal at lunchtime. Ask for a table out with view to the ocean and the magnificent Arrábida Mountain.
Great for fish and seafood. Try “Sangria de Espumante” to drink. It’s also famous for the magical sunset parties with top DJ´s that choose the best music. Considered by Conde Nast Traveller the best beach restaurant in the world.
At Carvalhal beach. Opens all year.
For grilled fish. Family business run by fisherman, guaranteeing access to best raw material. (351 265497023)
Sem Porta @ Sublime Hotel, na Muda.
Opens all year serving lunch and dinner.
Most sophisticated restaurant of Comporta. Chef Tiago Santos works creatively the local quality products, in a space that replicates an ancient local barn.
Opens in High season. An original idea around the street food concept at a former school in Carvalhal. Excellent gourmet burgers. We particularly love the portobello burger.
Must try its Piglet for take away
THE MOST AMAZING PLACE IN SOUTHERN EUROPE
With its 60 km of pristine golden sand beaches, wonderful weather, delicious food, trendy hippie chic restaurants, history and untouched nature, Comporta is the place to be if you want to relax in one of the the most amazing places in southern Europe. Simple but with very very good taste, it is discrete and yet trendy and charming, is pure countryside with walking distance from the best beaches on the planet, conveniently close to Lisbon but far enough to be calm and exclusive, it is quiet however full of things to do (food, fishing, wine tasting, horses, golf, surf and shopping).
“Watch the sunset at the beach just around the corner“
A GUIDED TOUR THROUGH THE AREA AND THE HOUSE
In this video from the french channel M6, Comporta area is shown as one of the most desirable destinations in Europe. Casa da Comporta, also featured, is the perfect place to enjoy this exclusive destination. Within walking distance to one of Portugal’s best west coast beaches, Praia do Pego, the house has it all, being located between the sea and the countryside, with great views of the Arrábida hills, the surrounding fields and the lavender and rosemary-scented pine woods. Nearby you can go horse riding or dolphin watching on the Sado estuary or golf at the new exclusive 18-hole golf course at Troia, located at a few kms distance from Casa da Comporta.
