Comporta Nature

Besides the beach, Comporta has an exceptional natural environment with an enviable animal and vegetable diversity, a haven for over 200 species of birds, including the iconic stork. Inserted in the beautiful Natural Reserve of Sado Estuary, Casa da Comporta is a vantage point to observe this magnificent bird that nests on electricity poles, trees and chimneys and has become a symbol of this area of Portugal. Other points of interest are the tours - on foot or by bike - you can do throughout the reserve, either through the rice fields, salt marshes or the woods, where you can enjoy the fresh air and mild climate of Comporta. In the Casa da Comporta, the garden vegetation was also not forgotten and with the arrival of spring, the colors of the flowers and growing plants serve as an appetizer to be in direct contact with nature!
